This passion and dedication dates to 1956 when Scientific-Atlanta revolutionized the field of microwave antenna measurement systems with the first Antenna Pattern Recorder. In 1998, MI Technologies divested from Scientific-Atlanta and has since been the go-to global provider of far-field and compact range testing methodologies for antennas, radar cross section and radome measurement solutions.
Nearly two decades later, MI Technologies merged with Nearfield Systems Inc. (NSI) – a business that had been providing an alternative to traditional far-field testing methods. This merger resulted in NSI-MI Technologies as we know it today, a world leader in RF and microwave antenna measurement testing with cutting-edge products that set new standards for tomorrow’s performance. In 2021, NSI-MI became a part of the AMETEK family of businesses and brands.

Meet the Team
Meet Alex – a Systems Engineer at NSI-MI. As a systems engineer, Alex plays a crucial role in integrating state-of-the-art NSI-MI antenna measurement systems into customers' facilities. He is enthusiastic about the cutting-edge engineering work he is involved in. "Every day, I get to explore new technologies and apply them to real-world challenges, which keeps me constantly engaged and motivated," he says.
Alex is also excited by the opportunity to travel as a part of his job. "Being able to travel as part of my job is an incredible perk. It allows me to collaborate with diverse teams, visit exciting locations, and gain invaluable insights from different cultures,” he says. “The exposure to various environments and perspectives enhances my problem-solving skills and broadens my professional horizons."
